![]() This anime is suitable to be the first anime to watch, especially if you like sad stories suitable for all ages because the discussion of the material is light. In terms of story, in my opinion, the story is very simple and easy to understand. ![]() maybe it's because I know and understand the feeling of fear and sadness when the people we love will soon leave us alone. ![]() somehow plastic memories seem to have an attachment and have a special meaning for me without me knowing the cause. but if asked whether I regret watching the anime Plastic Memories because it ended sadly then my answer is no. I don't want to give spoilers and I think almost everyone who wants to watch it already knows that this anime has a sad ending. more or less like we reset our cellphone so that there are no memories left) The core of the synopsis is the story of Tsukasa's journey trying to give beautiful memories to griftias (an advanced technology that makes an artificial soul can be inserted into a robot so that the robot has human-like consciousness) named Isla before she died (actually the robot but it turned out to be much different than I expected. In my opinion, girls with white hair in an anime are very beautiful and stunning.Īt first I thought this story would be about action adventure when the world was getting sophisticated (cyberpunk). The first time I saw Plastic Memories, I decided to watch it because of Isla. No matter how much someone desires it, nothing lasts forever. Time is fleeting though, and Tsukasa must come to terms with his feelings for Isla before her time is up. She is a Terminal Service veteran and considered the best in Giftia retrievals, contrary to her petite figure and placid nature. Promptly after joining Terminal Service One, Tsukasa is partnered with a beautiful Giftia named Isla. Terminal Service One, the station Tsukasa was assigned to, is responsible for collecting Giftias that have met their expiration date, before they lose their memories and become hostile. However, unlike humans, Giftias have a maximum lifespan of 81,920 hours, or around nine years and four months. SAI Corp is responsible for the creation of "Giftias"-highly advanced androids which are almost indiscernible from normal humans. Oh yes, I called it, their first kiss is also their last kiss.Eighteen-year-old Tsukasa Mizugaki has failed his college entrance exams, but after pulling some strings, he manages to land a job at the Sion Artificial Intelligence Corporation. For Tsukasa who cares if he is really in love with Isla, I guess most of the targeted audience already forgot Tsukasa at this moment, but can you really say Isla loves Tsukara because of the reasons she mentioned? She is an android so sexual attraction may not be a factor to her but seriously how real this "love" can be based on what we've seen, the best I can think of is Isla treats Tsukasa like a good friend, may be a brother but not a lover, I'm not even sure Isla knows what she is talking about, just because the story said so doesn't make it sounds right.Īt the end I enjoy Punchline more because of the visuals, now I know the capability of these visual novelists I can only say, "better lucky next time." Next stop: Charlotte. ![]() There are many emotions that can be confused with genuine affection, especially if you have no experience in exposing yourself to these emotions like admiration, compassion, sympathy, fear of loneness, lust, infatuation etc. What a nice theme park staff! "You go call the cops, I'll trap the lolicon once he enters the cart." This show really likes to show the childlike and innocent side of Isla, to the point I don't think she is more mentally mature than a quiet and shy12-year-old girl, in other shows like Anohana at least the heroine is paired with someone close to her age, so even if she is a little girl that is fine, but here she is dating a young adult, and I don't think the makers realize this problem, they probably think since this is Isla's love story who cares about the male protagonist. Isla can die or live for all I care, this has been an uninviting and underwhelming journey, even if I try there is hardly anything I can find that makes me want to say "this anime does this thing well", the lasting impression probably would be just another "feel the feelz" anime yet devoid of real human emotions, but when you marketed it this way there's no need to pay much attention to create an unique world, characters and story, you only need tropes, easily identified stereotypes that has already been proven to be popular, sometimes I don't even know if they are being conservative or it is the best they can do. ![]()
